Light in the Longest Night - Thursday, December 17, 2026

Thursday, December 17, 2026 | Time: 7:00-8:00pm CT
Location: Online

Christmas is often described as a season of joy—but sometimes joy is not the whole story.

For many of us, this season also holds grief, change, loneliness, disappointment, uncertainty, or the ache of someone or something deeply missed. Sometimes we simply arrive at Christmas weary.

Our time together will be a quiet, contemplative gathering where there is room for all of it.

We will slow down and make space to be present to God and to what is true within us. Through Scripture, guided reflection, silence, prayer, and the lighting of candles, we will gently hold the losses, hurts, and longings we carry.

There will be no expectation to speak or share your story. You are welcome simply to come, listen, reflect, and receive.

And together, we will remember the quiet promise at the heart of Christmas: we do not have to manufacture hope for ourselves. The Light comes to meet us—even in the darkness.
